Summary:

Commissioning & Green Building Solutions (CxGBS®), the pioneer of Holistic Commissioning® and a nationally recognized commissioning provider and sustainability consultant, has an immediate opportunity for an entrepreneurial-minded Commissioning Professional. This position will enable candidates to build on their individual educational and practical experiences in building commissioning, sustainability, construction, or building operations to a position of certification and leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, building science, or related field with five (5) years experience in facility operations/management, construction, design, or consulting OR master’s degree with three years (5) experience in facility operations/management, construction, design, or consulting
  • Travel when necessary (usually no more than one or two nights at a time)
  • Understanding of and appreciation for building engineering principles related to energy efficiency, the environment, sustainability, and commissioning
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and submittals
  • Ability to operate independently as well as part of a team
  • Possess strong written and verbal skills with the ability to prepare neat, accurate, organized, and timely reports
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Applications (HubSpot a Plus)
  • Physically able to perform construction site visits
  • Able to obtain government security clearance (Clearance already obtained is a Bonus)


Desired Skills and Competencies

  • Licensed Professional Engineer or on track to sit for the exam
  • Provide direct leadership to project teams on various size and scope projects
  • Provide engineering or design analysis on large-scale or complicated engineering tasks
  • Ability to analyze a problem and distinguish between cause and effect
  • Clear and logical thinking to deal positively with situations occurring within a regular work routine
  • Manage project resources of time and staff to budget
  • Open to new ideas, processes, and procedures
  • Represent CxGBS at business events and professional organizations
  • Goal driven
