Laboratory Sciences Building – Georgia Gwinnett College

Georgia’s newest four-year institution, Georgia Gwinnett College, constructed this 24,000 SF facility to house laboratories, classrooms, and offices in Gwinnett County, Georgia. Completed in August 2011, this facility was built to accommodate the rapid growth of the student body. CxGBS was contracted to provide fundamental commissioning of the HVAC, HVAC controls, and lighting control systems.

Added value through CxGBS® services:

Post construction, CxGBS aided the owner in the identification of a moisture intrusion source due to improperly installed flashing. An issue that is identified regularly in our building enclosure commissioning services and a great example of the importance of commissioning not only the building systems, but also the building envelope as well.
