Production Facility – Parker Hannifin Corporation

Racor is a division of the Parker Hannifin Corporation, a global innovation leader in fuel, air, and oil filtration systems for internal combustion engines and fuel delivery.  CxGBS® performed Level I Energy Auditing services for their manufacturing plant located in Holly Springs, Mississippi.  During the project, CxGBS® analyzed facility utility bills to benchmark energy performance and reviewed heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems as well as facility lighting and lighting control systems during a facility walkthrough.

While in the facility, CxGBS® documented conditions throughout the facility, discussed operating conditions, requirements, and overall satisfaction with building occupants, and reviewed the overall facility operation to assess the building’s current energy performance and identify opportunities to improve the energy performance of the facility through a combination of low or no-cost and capital-intensive improvements.

Added value through CxGBS® services:

CxGBS® identified the following improvements and provided estimated cost, annual utility savings, annual maintenance savings, and simple payback analysis for each improvement:

  • Adjustment of thermostat set points throughout the facility to set points consistent with ASHRAE guidelines
  • Installation of controls capable of interlocking unit heaters in the facility with loading dock bay door positions
  • Installation of controls capable of interlocking roof-top units in the fuel laboratory building with the wall-mounted exhaust fans
  • Options for office area lighting retrofits and replacements with LED lighting technology
  • Installation of dimming ballasts and occupancy controls for warehouse lighting fixtures
