Rome Tennis Center – Berry College
The Rome Tennis Center at Berry College is the nation’s largest hardcourt tennis facility. The 60-court facility on a 30-acre site is comprised of USTA standard asphalt tennis courts and includes six NCAA regulation courts, three center courts for tournament and collegiate play, and one exhibition court. CxGBS commissioned the HVAC, domestic hot water, and lighting controls systems for the facility.
“CxGBS provided great service to the Rome Tennis Center at Berry College. In the design phase of the project, they provided helpful guidance to promote an efficient and maintainable facility. Following design, they worked collaboratively with our construction team to maintain quality of the facility systems and then led our owner training to lay the foundation for long-term facility operation. I would highly recommend Jay, Buddy, and the rest of the CxGBS team to any owner whose goal is a high-performing and maintainable facility.” —Tom Lawrence, Principal, Collins Project Management
Added value through CxGBS® services:
- Our commissioning design reviews helped to provide adequate access and space to maintain and repair HVAC systems serving the clubhouse in the facility.
- Commissioning observations during construction identified issues including incorrect lighting controls components, unsealed breaches in duct work vapor barrier, and missing insulation on piping and duct work.
