Wise Center School of Veterinary Medicine – Mississippi State University

CxGBS’s work on the Wise Veterinary Center included three separate projects within the facility: commissioning of storm damage repair of the three-story, 376,000 SF Animal Health Center, commissioning of a new 15,000 SF Necropsy facility housing labs and classrooms, and commissioning of a 12,920 SF addition, providing additional classroom and office space for the Veterinary School. Our work on the Wise Veterinary Center Necropsy Renovation included the demolition and construction of a new Necropsy Laboratory facility and replacement of cooling towers in the existing chiller plant. The Necropsy building houses labs, and classrooms areas to accommodate the necropsy functions and the Veterinary School educational program.

Added Value through CxGBS® Services:

• Provided observations of building enclosure testing to assist contractor in providing repairs and replacement of systems without moisture intrusion into building
• Assisted the construction team in determining cause of odor migration from Necropsy facility to adjacent existing facility
• Observed time settings on installed occupancy sensors to minimize on time when areas are not in use to reduce energy consumption
